About

Biography

I am a speech-language pathologist (SLP) caring for patients with sound and language disorders and those requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies for speech difficulties. I take a strengths-based approach when working with all of my patients. Each child has their own special skills and strengths they bring to their therapy appointments. Children progress better in our sessions when we build on what they can do already.

My husband inspired me to become an SLP. He was a patient at Cincinnati Children’s as he required treatment for a cleft lip and palate. He would always talk about how his SLPs gave him his voice back. This inspired me to transition to a career in speech therapy, and it was the best transition I could have made. I love collaborating with other caregivers and getting to know patients and their families as much as possible during our 12-week care sessions. This helps strengthen rapport and build relationships that are critical to patients’ progress during therapy.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, walking my dog and playing the viola. I also love watching short television shows like “The Office,” “Modern Family” and “New Girl.”
