About

Biography

I'm a speech-language pathologist (SLP) specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and early intervention for children with neuromotor disorders.

In high school, I volunteered at Fresh Air Camp in Cleveland, Ohio. This summer camp program was for children with respiratory illnesses. Many of these children utilized AAC, and I was inspired by how smart and creative they were. I wanted to help other children achieve the same success with their communication skills.

My approach to therapy is family centered. Parents are the true experts regarding their children. I use their child's strengths and interests when developing a care plan to help families achieve their goals. I want families to feel empowered and ready to implement new communication strategies at home.

It was my honor to be nominated for the Early Career Achievement Award in recognition of an employee's exceptional work during the first five years of their career in competency specialty attainment, leadership, scholarly efforts and clinical productivity.
