At the beginning of my career, I worked in the emergency department for two years and found myself always choosing to take care of children.
Now I work in pediatric orthopaedics as a physician assistant, and my care philosophy is that the more information I can provide, the better.
I continually ask patients and their parents if they have any questions about the treatment plan. As a mother of three, I know how scary it is when something is wrong with your child, and I try to do all I can to make the process less stressful.
In my free time, I am an avid runner. I run several races a year and have started doing triathlons. I am a two-time half-Ironman finisher with aspirations of doing a full Ironman someday.
