I’m a resident physician specializing in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. I love working with children because of their joy and resilience. Growing up in rural Montana, I saw a clear need for innovative ways to provide underserved communities with medical and mental health care. My career goal is to partner with community organizations and primary care pediatricians to expand access to mental health care, particularly for children who have experienced trauma.
My care philosophy is to use a strengths-based approach to help empower families as they navigate new and challenging situations, such as pregnancy, postpartum, foster care placement, family member incarceration and more. I treat the whole child by attending to their physical and mental health, and I aim to destigmatize mental health care.
The stories of the families and children I care for inspire me daily. To be trusted by families to care for their children is my greatest honor.
I’m a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, where I was inducted for academic achievement during medical school. Additionally, I’m the recipient of a reward for my research in reproductive healthcare for incarcerated women.
Often after work, you can find me cuddled up on my couch with my cat while reading, doing a crossword puzzle or watching reality television. I also love cooking, eating good food, hiking and exploring new places.
