I am the education director for two online graduate programs: a Master of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education. As a program director, I aim to ensure that students and instructors are supported and have the resources they need to succeed in the program. This includes advising students on their final master's projects, creating a safe space for exploring new areas of medical education, and focusing intensely on mentorship and developing a mentor team.
Before this position, I worked in Pediatric Medical Education at the University of Louisville (UofL) for 14 years in various roles, from program coordinator to assistant residency director. My interests included faculty development, qualitative research, burnout/wellness and program evaluation. Most recently, I was the program director for undergraduate Healthcare Leadership and Organizational Leadership & Learning programs within the College of Education at UofL.
Research is a minor part of my position, and I am experienced in qualitative research methodologies. I have been an administrator for over 18 years and began working at Cincinnati Children’s in 2023. I am honored to be an Outstanding Dissertation Finalist from the University Council for Workforce and Human Resources Education (2020) and to have authored a paper titled Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis of the Interplay of Factors Affecting Burnout in Academic Medical Faculty.
