As a pediatric dermatologist, my practice is focused on medical and procedural dermatology. I also specialize in birthmarks, hemangiomas, vascular anomalies and surgical dermatology.
I was born with a birthmark called a port wine stain on my face. As a result, I was in and out of dermatology offices my whole life. Being exposed to the field from infancy, I know what it feels like to stand out because of a medical issue. I chose dermatology because I want to help kids treat their birthmarks.
Because of my medical history, I can empathize with children with skin diseases. I know what it feels like to undergo laser treatment, and I can reassure parents that their kids will be okay.
When I'm not working, I bake French pastries, do the New York Times crossword puzzles, explore parks with my pup and go hiking with my family.
