About

Biography

As a social worker and therapist in outpatient psychiatry, I work with patients ranging in age from early adolescence to adulthood. I specialize in treating patients with anxiety, mood disorders, cultural issues, trauma-related issues, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ+) issues. My approach is person-centered, and I work with patients using evidence-based practices.

Primarily, I use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, trauma-informed care and cultural competency practices. I believe in partnering with the patient and family to optimize patient outcomes.

My path to working with youth began while volunteering with various not-for-profit organizations across Ohio. I continued my career working with children and families in government agencies, community behavioral health centers and hospital settings.

I am honored to have received the Heartbeat Award from my previous employer for creating a lasting difference in the community and my patient’s lives.

When not working, I enjoy being outdoors with family and friends.
