About

Biography

I began my nursing career at Cincinnati Children's in the Specialty Resource Unit (SRU). It was in SRU that I discovered my passion for caring for the most critically injured patients, in the immediate resuscitative phase and during their recovery journey, as a trauma nurse. It was by far the most challenging and rewarding career I have had.

As the trauma program director, I strive to lead our trauma program in reducing the burden of pediatric injury. Through continuous improvement, my goal is to ensure that all injured children achieve the best outcomes possible.

Trained by my predecessor, Margot Daugherty, I learned how to be a trauma nurse, a trauma process improvement coordinato, and now, a trauma program director. There have been many pivotal leaders, who founded and shaped this program before my time, that have paved the way for the future success of the trauma program at Cincinnati Children's.

During my time off, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, engaging in outdoor activities and traveling.
