About

Biography

As a Fellow, I work in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. I find it rewarding to develop connections with my patients and their families. I get to know them and want them to know me, so we can employ shared decision-making to help children live their best lives.

I enjoy working with patients of all ages with simple problems and complex diseases. I also think the gastrointestinal system is fascinating! I have always enjoyed working with children and teaming up with parents to help their children feel better.

In 2019, I was honored to win the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award for my commitment to teaching and compassionate treatment of patients, colleagues, students and staff. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Medical Education and studying the workload of hospital fellows and their ability to teach while consulting on patients.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and traveling to National Parks, playing board games with my husband and friends, cuddling my cat, Sophie, and reading books such as Harry Potter.
