I am an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. I’ve been a pediatric nurse practitioner since 1989. I have spent my career at Cincinnati Children’s, beginning in 1977.
In my current role, I am seeing children who present with differences in development. The purpose of these appointments is to monitor their progress, provide medication management and to share needed information and resources with their families.
Our practice uses a collaborative practice model in evaluating and treating children with special needs. I collaborate with many different specialists in developing a treatment plan that is unique to each child and to their needs.
I was guided to choose pediatric nursing as a career by my experiences growing up in a big family. As the older sister of many siblings, I had early experiences in supervision and teaching of young children. My parents were great teachers. They encouraged me to use these skills in pursuing this rewarding career.
In my free time, I enjoy international travel, live music and connecting with family and friends.
