I'm a licensed independent social worker with supervision designation (LISWS) providing psychotherapy in the school-based mental health setting to students ranging from kindergarten to high school. Working directly within the school allows me to meet children where they are in their daily routine, during a critical phase of their lives. I feel school-based decreases barriers related to access to care -which is one of the reasons I love Cincinnati Children's schoolbased treatment options.
Why social work? My why is—people. I'm passionate about working with people and empowering them through the difficulties that come with life. I completed both my undergrad and grad degrees at Florida State University where I developed my dedication to the field of social work. My clinical approach is centered on creating a safe, inclusive environment that celebrates each child's unique qualities. I aim to provide a comfortable, trusting space that encourages healing and growth.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our children, and our dog. We love traveling-whether returning home to Florida or exploring somewhere new-trying new foods, and engaging with our community. My favorite pastime is reading a good book with a great cup of coffee.
