I am a pediatric emergency medicine physician. Parents often arrive at the emergency department on the scariest day of their lives, and the opportunity to care for kids and families at such a vulnerable time is an incredible privilege—one that keeps me striving to find ways to continually improve our care.
My interest in medicine began while serving in the Peace Corps. I volunteered at a clinic and found that I really enjoyed caring for patients—especially children. That remains true today!
I am also a researcher aiming to improve pediatric disaster preparedness and response as well as prehospital care, both in Cincinnati and around the world.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy hiking while listening to podcasts or audiobooks. I've hiked about 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail and hope to hike the rest!
