About

Biography

I am both a pediatrician and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. I was inspired to pursue my career by my parents, who are both registered nurses. My mother worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and my father worked in mental health.

In my practice, I strive to collaborate with my patients and their families and build relationships. I help them achieve their healthcare goals by designing treatment plans tailored to each individual patient.

In my research, I seek to better understand the clinical effects of the psychotropic medications we use in pediatric populations.

I was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in medical school.

I enjoy spending my free time with my two children and wife — camping, hiking and fly fishing. I grew up on a farm in rural Michigan, then lived and worked in New York City as a patent litigation attorney, where I also worked pro bono to litigate children’s rights cases. I look forward to combining my legal and medical training to advance children’s causes.

MD: Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI.

JD: Rutgers School of Law, Camden, NJ.
