About

Biography

I provide clinical counseling to children and families to help them manage mental health and behavioral difficulties. I’ve always loved being around children, and the counseling field was an excellent fit for my personality and desire to support families in need.

Counseling is not a one-size-fits-all process and must be tailored to each family. It’s essential that all families feel safe and heard so I can identify the appropriate interventions to use and guide them to positive outcomes.

We must also work collaboratively as each family knows themselves best. Getting feedback about what is helpful or unhelpful allows me to adjust to the family’s needs. My role is to help support a child's mental and behavioral health needs from a nonjudgmental and compassionate point of view.

I’m honored to have received the Counseling Student Award as a master’s student at Xavier University. I also received the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NCAES) Graduate Student Grant Award (2022) to help with my doctoral research project on social justice advocacy in counseling.

Outside of work, I have three cats and five chickens, which give me great joy. I love traveling, looking for unique wildlife and trying new foods.
