About

Biography

My clinical specialty is surgical pathology. Even though pathology is "behind the scenes" in patient care, it is integral to every patient's treatment and care. Every patient specimen is unique and irreplaceable and provides an opportunity to learn.

I was drawn to pathology when I saw another pathologists’ assistant grossing (describing in detail) a very unique specimen. It was fascinating to learn what goes into finding the answers from the clues observed in the tissue specimen.

I grew up on a dairy farm. My hobbies include watching my kids play sports and spending time with my children, hiking, traveling and running. I also enjoy being with my dogs.
