My children were one of the reasons I pursued my nursing career. My youngest child spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and our experience inspired me to work with this population.
As a neonatal nurse practitioner, I strive to understand each situation and each family. Having spent time at the bedside with my daughter helps me understand what parents are going through and I can relate to their experience.
I was nominated twice for the Daisy nursing award. This award recognizes extraordinary nurses, and nominations come from patients, families, other nurses or anyone at Cincinnati Children’s.
In my free time, I enjoy coaching my daughter’s travel softball team out of Lexington, Kentucky.
