About

Biography

I believe that caring for a child means caring for the whole family. Working with children and adolescents in the inpatient setting, I understand that families often arrive during moments of crisis. My goal is to create a space where patients feel safe, heard and respected, while families feel included, supported and informed every step of the way. I take a collaborative, trauma-informed approach to care, working to understand each child beyond their diagnosis by listening closely to their story, strengths and needs. I partner with families, nurses, therapists, teachers and the broader treatment team to ensure that care decisions are thoughtful, individualized and grounded in what will best support the child both during hospitalization and after discharge.

Above all, I believe in meeting children and families with compassion, patience and hope. Even in moments of acute distress, I want patients to feel seen as more than their symptoms and families to feel confident that their child’s care is guided by empathy, respect and a genuine commitment to healing. I was drawn to this work by a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children during some of their most challenging moments. Every child deserves someone who sees their potential beyond their current struggles and helps them recognize that their future can still be bright and full of possibility. Being part of a child’s healing and helping them rediscover hope is what inspired me to choose this specialty and continues to motivate me each day.

Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, spending quality time with my family, and traveling whenever I can. I especially love getting away to the lake, where I can relax, recharge and enjoy time outdoors.
