Kristina R. Taylor, MSN, APRN, CNP

My clinical specialty is pediatric gastrointestinal surgery. I began my career at Cincinnati Children's in 2003, working as a high-functioning registered nurse for 18 years in various patient settings (float pool, critical care and trauma). I then obtained my Master of Science in Nursing to become a nurse practitioner.

As a young child, I became quite ill and required major surgery. As a result of this experience, I told my mother that I would become a pediatric nurse. As a provider later in my career, I continued caring for patients and their families. An extensive background in various patient settings enabled me to provide excellent, high-level care. My diverse pediatric experience allows me to look at the entire picture and provide comprehensive care.

I like to place myself in every family's position to understand what they would like to achieve while caring for their child. I listen to families and get to know what drives them and their goals. Knowing what resources are available at Cincinnati Children's, combined with my experience and comfort with how the medical center functions, has given me a solid foundation to provide the best care possible.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I like to travel and discover new places with my family and friends. I'm always up for a new challenge!
