As a general pediatrician, I practice in many areas, including but are not limited to, well-child care, acute care in an outpatient setting, and chronic conditions, such as asthma, obesity and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I have also developed a gradual and systematic approach to help patients prepare for the transition from pediatric care to adult care.
I was inspired to pursue my career by my parents, who were both physicians. I admired their dedication to caring for their patients and families. They also helped the broader community through their efforts to improve care. During medical school, I was drawn to pediatrics and the joy caring for children brings.
In my practice, we provide up-to-date, knowledge-based care. I strive to be non-judgmental and compassionate, and to use lots of humor with my patients. Our clinic has nurses and social workers who act as care managers and a behavior specialist who expands our services to patients and families.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, birdwatching, gardening, horseback riding and spending time with my family. My husband raises bees and we also have chickens!
