I‘m a social worker providing psychiatric counseling services for children and adolescents. My background relies heavily on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, psychoeducation, solution-focused therapy and person-centered approaches. I often offer treatment combining art, play, storytelling and humor. I value my patients’ stories and unique perspectives and will meet them where they are.
After enduring the loss of my mother as an adolescent, I realized the depths humans go through when facing loss and hardship. Within myself, I felt a deep longing to provide connection and comfort to others who have also faced difficulties. Because of this, I feel responsible for delivering high-quality connections and interventions for adolescents and their parents in their time of need.
I aspire to enjoy life, prioritize joy and silliness and always show up authentically. I am a highly organized individual and believe greatly in the power of vulnerability. These foundational values allow us to heal and grow from our suffering and hurt. We can thrive when we are seen and heard while developing gratitude for our realities.
I am honored to have been named a Religious Intersectionality Dialogue Scholar, a dialogue-based discussion group member aiming to openly discuss religious perspectives and societal impacts of cultural, systemic and ideological differences. I also received a Miami University Service Leadership Award for professional work in the surrounding areas, providing hands-on support to individuals and educational services to the Miami University community.
As a creative, silly and organized individual, I greatly enjoy interior design, antique hunting, comedy, gardening, writing poetry and time spent with loved ones. That last one is my favorite!
