I’m a clinical fellow in pediatric emergency medicine. I want families to know that fellowship training at Cincinnati Children's is evidence-based, and we strive for excellence in all we do.
My inspiration to become a doctor stems from my desire, at a young age, to care for ill and injured people. I particularly enjoy taking care of children because they are resilient and courageous even when they don't understand what is going on with them. Their natural energetic nature warms my heart every day. I chose emergency medicine because I like the challenge of caring for every patient — no matter the illness or injury.
My care philosophy is empathetic and patient-centered with a strong focus on shared decision-making. I want what's best for the patient, and I also want the family to feel heard, understood and supported. It is hard for a family to trust you with their child's life when they have just met you for the first time. I want families to feel comfortable and confident with their care.
I’m also a researcher aiming to identify gaps in the care of young febrile infants with viral infections.
When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling the world, spending time at home with my husband and dogs, reading a good book, gardening and baking.
