About

Biography

I have been a social worker for over 25 years. I enjoy working with children and families in their homes, schools and communities. My main focus areas are providing therapy and linking families with needed community resources. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.

In college, a professor pulled me aside one day and encouraged me to become a social worker. She explained all the different job possibilities for social workers. I volunteered with Scouts for many years. I was a den leader in Cub Scouts and rechartered the troop each year in Boy Scouts. Because I’ve always loved kids, I decided to go into social work.

I believe forming relationships is the key to helping patients succeed. I work hard to earn my patients' trust and respect. I enjoy getting to know the children and families I work with. I like to think creatively and often offer outside-the-box suggestions for patient problems.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. I also enjoy exercising and taking my dog for walks. I like to read good books and magazines as well.
