As a nurse practitioner, my work involves primary care, well-checks and acute illnesses. I also manage chronic illnesses, including but not limited to ADD (symptoms of inattention, distractibility and poor working memory) and ADHD (additional symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsivity), depression and anxiety.
I love interacting with children and watching them explore, developing their own personalities and confidence in the process! I’m excited and willing to help and care for the individual and family.
I pursued my career because I enjoy working with others to create positive outcomes and dealing with complex problems by piecing together information to achieve progressive results. There's no better feeling than when the body is physically and mentally healthy. It brings me happiness to help patients feel their best.
My care philosophy focuses on the understanding that humans are multi-faceted. There may be multiple ways of treating an illness or concern or working with patients and families with individual circumstances. My approach involves treatment to achieve a common goal and working with patients to set and reach for realistic expectations.
I was elected to represent the Community Health Services Network on Cincinnati Children’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Council. The APP Council Charter delineates the privileges and authority of all advanced practice nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) credentialed and privileged by Cincinnati Children’s and works to ensure a level of professional APRN/PA performance. The APP Council sets the priorities pertaining to APRN/PA practice which encompasses the tenets of Interprofessional Practice Model with the goal of optimal outcomes to align and support strategic initiatives of the organization. The Advanced Practice Council helps APPs address practice issues and questions or concerns that may arise and helps modify or add a privilege within divisions.
In my free time, I like to keep moving and enjoy most outdoor activities. I love traveling and have been to several different countries in Europe and Asia — but nothing beats Cincinnati!
