About

Biography

My clinical specialty is solid organ transplant pharmacy, practicing primarily in lung transplantation.

My aspiration to pursue a career in pediatric pharmacy stemmed from my internship at Nationwide Children's Hospital during pharmacy school. My longitudinal commitment to the pediatric profession was further confirmed during my residency training at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where I was introduced to solid organ transplant pharmacy.

I ultimately chose to specialize in transplantation since this field combines every aspect of pharmacy that I’m passionate about, including continuity of care in inpatient and ambulatory care settings, complex drug regimens, infectious diseases and preventative care.

I strive to make every effort to ensure that my care delivery is individualized and evidence-based. I provide extensive medication education throughout all phases of transplant care and work diligently with patients and families to address all barriers affecting medication adherence.

In addition to practicing pharmacy, I enjoy being an active member of pharmacy leadership organizations, precepting students and conducting clinical research. My areas of interest include:

  • Desensitization and antibody-mediated rejection treatment strategies
  • Infectious diseases within the immunocompromised population
  • Addressing vaccine hesitancy and time-to-blood culture positivity

On a personal level, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling and attending local sporting events.
