Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute Offering Clinic in Vanceburg Providing World-Class Heart Care Closer to Home

Tuesday, February 16, 2021

Cincinnati Children's Heart Institute is offering a new pediatric heart clinic in Vanceburg, Ky. at the Vanceburg PrimaryPlus location (211 KY 59, Building C). Pediatric cardiologist Lisa Lee, MD, is seeing patients on the fourth Friday of each month, starting February 26.

This new location offers expanded pediatric cardiology access and expertise in Kentucky, and is one of the Heart Institute’s 23 congenital heart clinics. Other locations include Maysville, Ky. and Portsmouth, Ohio.

“For some families, the Ohio River provides a huge barrier in time, and convenience and finances. It’s very difficult for them to make that journey,” said Lee. “Serving them in their neighborhood closer to their home is really important and that has been my commitment.”

Vanceburg Heart Clinic outpatient services include:

  • Examinations and consults by expert staff
  • Preventive cardiology care
  • Monitoring of heart problems
  • Referral for heart procedures and heart surgery when indicated
  • Follow-up examinations after surgery
  • Diagnostic testing

Non-invasive cardiac tests include:

  • Echocardiograms
  • Electrocardiograms
  • Holter monitor recording
  • 24-hour to 30-day event and rhythm monitoring systems
  • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
