Cincinnati Children’s is proud to care for children from all over the world. We offer services to non-English speaking patients and their families at no cost.
All patients and family members have a right to receive medical information in their preferred language. As a step toward that goal, we have full-time, in-house interpreters fluent in English and in Spanish. Our interpreters provide services to the medical center’s Spanish-speaking patients and their families. You can also find help through our Spanish Assistance Line, 513-636-0799, from 8:30 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday. Trained and qualified medical interpreters are available in other languages as well. Having a medical interpreter insures that the communication between you and our hospital staff is complete and accurate.
In addition, the telephone switchboard at Cincinnati Children’s is answered in both English and Spanish. Spanish-speaking callers are automatically transferred to a bilingual customer service representative with Interpreter Services from 8:30 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday. Outside of those hours, we will use the services of our over-the-phone interpretation services.
