Cell Processing Core

The Cell Processing Core (CPC) is part of the Translational Core Laboratories within the Division of Experimental Hematology and Cancer Biology at Cincinnati Children's.

The CPC provides stem cells and other tissue samples from normal donor or patient populations such as disease specific repositories or specific research studies requiring sample processing.

Samples are provided fresh or cryopreserved according to availability, unprocessed or with further lab processing.

Services

The Cell Processing Core supports handling and processing of a variety of hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic specimens. Common processing techniques include:

  • PBMC isolation
  • Serum and plasma isolation
  • Separation of marker specific populations
  • Flow cytometric characterization of samples
  • Interferon gamma EliSpot
  • Additional services may be available upon request

The CPC is equipped to handle studies both large and small, and will work with you to accommodate your cell processing needs in support of your IRB approved protocol.
