As a nurse practitioner in the Division of Neurosurgery, I provide care to children who require neurosurgery services. I believe in using a family-centered approach to care, and when a decision needs to be made, I always include the family.
I was drawn to nursing because it is a constant learning field, but I knew I wanted to pursue a higher level of education. My goal was to be a nurse practitioner because it allowed me to be a provider and use my experience as a nurse. I am also a certified pediatric nurse (CPN).
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Fun fact: I played college volleyball for four years during nursing school.
