About

Biography

I‘m a physical therapist (PT) working with pediatric inpatients in the Transitional Care Center (TCC). I am exceptionally skilled at working with patients with a trach and ventilator. I love working with former premature patients who have graduated from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and are now on the TCC floor working toward going home.

I knew when I was a sophomore in high school that I wanted to become a physical therapist. During my clinical rotations, I enjoyed working with the pediatric population. I particularly love that the things you do to help them affect their entire life and their family!

My care philosophy is to help patients reach their full potential while also helping prepare families to manage and assist the child in their current condition. I also have my certification as a child passenger safety technician. I use this knowledge and my understanding and expertise in tone and positioning as a PT to assist complex patients in how to travel by car safely.

I love teaching PT students as well as new PT graduates. I’m also a mom to four active children who enjoy various sports. I was an official delegate to the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia and ran with the Olympic torch on its way to the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1998.
