I care for pediatric and young adult athletes who are navigating sports injuries, musculoskeletal concerns and concussions. My goal is to be a supportive member of your child’s team, working alongside you to create a care plan that fits your family’s needs—whether that means getting back on the field, returning to school or resuming favorite activities after an injury. I use a team-based approach, much like what I valued as a basketball player and coach, and I believe that compassionate, evidence-based care is the best way to help young people reach their goals.
I specialize in outpatient care for sports and musculoskeletal injuries, as well as concussion management. I’m trained in ultrasound-guided injections and osteopathic manipulative treatment, which can help with both acute and chronic pain. I strive to offer well-rounded care by staying current with research and using multiple treatment options. My research interests include injury prevention, medical education in pediatric sports medicine, and understanding how social factors affect injuries and participation in sports.
My path to medicine began as a teenager, coaching youth basketball and working as a camp counselor. Those early experiences sparked a passion for working with children that has only grown over the years. Playing basketball through college deepened my love for sports and inspired me to pursue pediatric sports medicine, a field that blends my interests in athletics, medicine and supporting young people as they visualize and achieve their aspirations.
Outside of work, I love to stay active by working out and playing pick-up basketball. I also enjoy reading, crafting at home and traveling with my husband as we explore new places together.
