As a general pediatric psychologist, I treat a variety of patient populations, ages and backgrounds. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to help my patients increase their emotional understanding and work toward their goals.
I approach patient care from an acceptance-based and functional perspective and therefore understand that all behaviors have a purpose – even the behaviors that are harmful to us. My goal is to help patients and families understand the function of their behavior and engage in actions that bring them closer to their values.
When I’m not helping patients, I enjoy spending time reading and hiking with my family and our dog. Our dog is named Jango Fett from Star Wars because my family loves all things Star Wars!
