I was one of the oldest of multiple children in my family, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with children. Initially, I thought I wanted to be a teacher but then found my passion for the mental health and well-being of others. As classmates completed science fair projects in life science or engineering, I focused on behavioral and social sciences. Learning from the growth paths of others inspired me to want to become a psychologist.
As a clinical child psychologist, I specialize in the assessment and treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I provide treatment to children and adolescents with ADHD in the form of individual or group therapy. During therapy, we focus on psychoeducation, behavioral management training, organizational and time management skills, emotion regulation and anxiety.
My approach to patient care is to provide evidence-based strategies in a child/family-focused collaborative manner. My desire is for individuals I work with to feel heard, respected and cared about while they develop skills and effective resources to guide their lives. I genuinely feel privileged to work with brave individuals seeking care.
In my free time, I enjoy camping and boating with my husband and two children, as well as bonding with family and friends. I have so much fun watching my children play sports and exploring other interests.
