I am a pediatric psychologist with 20 years of specialized experience in treating children and adolescents. My specific focus is on preschoolers to pre-teens.
I have extensive experience treating patients with anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depression, as well as disruptive behaviors in young children. I also teach parenting skills, work with children and families on the management of tics and headaches, and assist children and families who are impacted by traumatic brain injuries.
I am a member of the Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology’s Anxiety Team, which focuses on evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders in children. I am trained in both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
I have the utmost respect for all types of diversity in children and in families, and I believe that it is an honor for families to share their stories with me.
My integrated, strength-based approach to patient care is rooted in compassion, acceptance and collaboration. As a team, we create a treatment plan that is individualized to the child and welcomes and encourages family involvement. We focus on both enhancing relationships and implementing practical, research-based strategies for both children and their caregivers.
In my spare time, I’m an avid basketball fan, and I enjoy coaching youth basketball.
