About

Biography

I’m an immunologist specializing in stem cell transplants and patients with immune deficiency disorders. As a bone marrow transplant physician, I help provide new immune systems when medication alone cannot control infection or inflammation. I love caring for children while doing all I can to ensure they lead the most normal lives possible.

I've always been fascinated by the complexities of the immune system, and I knew this would be my interest early in my career. I went into medicine and quickly fell in love with pediatrics. I enjoy the deep connections forged with patients and families as we manage complex disorders together.

As a researcher, I’m working to reduce the intensity of stem cell transplants, so they are better tolerated. I also aim to improve our ability to help diagnose and manage patients with immune dysregulation. My other interests are focused on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives for multiple organizations in our field, including the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS), and the Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network (ASTCT).

When I’m not at work, I enjoy running, traveling with my partner, getting to know different cultures through food, and singing karaoke.
