When I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I watched my mom work as a nurse and saw the selfless compassion she gave to her patients. This experience inspired my initial nursing degree. Later, my critical care background drove me to pursue my passion as a provider. It was the best decision I could have made.
As a nurse practitioner, I work with children hospitalized at Cincinnati Children’s. I’m part of the inpatient Complex Care Team and specialize in caring for children with complex medical needs.
I approach patient care as a family effort. I understand that our families know their children better than anyone else. I'm thankful to have them as a resource and to work with them to provide the best care for their child.
I’m honored to have been recognized with a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. I’m also a Carol McKenzie Award nominee, which recognizes an advanced practice registered nurse at Cincinnati Children’s who exhibits a positive attitude, commitment to teamwork and clinical leadership.
When I’m not at work, I am busy raising my three kiddos. We spend lots of time outdoors enjoying the sunshine and all that nature has to offer.
