About

Biography

As a nurse practitioner at Cincinnati Children's, I see children in the emergency department and urgent care. Knowing the needs and experiences of both the child and their family is essential. I believe in providing the best possible care with an individualized approach. I also emphasize a family-centered approach to care, as caregivers know their children best.

My nursing journey began with a deeply personal and formative experience. As a child and teenager, I spent considerable time at Cincinnati Children's, where two of my loved ones battled cystic fibrosis. The compassionate care they received during their treatment left an indelible mark on me. At the age of 12, I was profoundly inspired by the dedication and empathy of the healthcare professionals who cared for them. In those moments of vulnerability and hope, I first felt the calling to become a nurse.

Driven by this early inspiration, I began my nursing career focused on adult orthopaedics and neurosurgery. While I valued the experience and skills I gained in these fields, it soon became clear that my passion lay in pediatrics. Working with adults provided valuable insights, but it was in the pediatric setting that I found my deepest sense of fulfillment and purpose. As a bedside nurse in pediatrics, I was continually motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. This experience reinforced my desire to further advance my education and skills. Becoming a nurse practitioner would allow me to think more critically and engage more deeply in patient care, aligning perfectly with my goal to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to young patients.

In my free time outside of work, I spend time with my husband, daughter and extended family. I also enjoy hiking, reading books, traveling and being outside in the warmer months.
