About

Biography

I’m a clinical fellow and emergency medicine physician. During my clinical time, I care for patients and families in their most significant moments of need. The central focus of my care is extending kindness, expertise and calm when patients and families experience the storms of life. I do this by intentionally serving those who are most sick and often overlooked. It's my deepest honor to be entrusted with the care of someone's loved one, and as a bilingual English/Spanish provider, I aim to speak a patient's language in more ways than one.

As a child, I had two surgeries that significantly impacted my life and career decisions. After a life flight and two short stays at a world-class pediatric hospital, I began to consider the impact a doctor can have on a child's life. When you help a child and family in need, you can help positively change the direction of an entire lifetime. Investing in children is investing in everyone's future.

My academic work is focused on helping clinicians become better teachers. I work to build educational programs that empower learners to be future leaders and servants in medicine. I’ve done this through curriculum design at medical school and residency training levels. I have a growing interest in fostering professional development through physician coaching programs. I have also developed expertise in knowledge dissemination by studying the impact of social media and podcasting as educational tools.

I was honored to be awarded the Senior Resident Teaching Award at Boston Children's Hospital, voted upon by the interns with whom I had the pleasure of teaching. I was also awarded the Susan Brooks Resident Service Award, which is given annually for exemplary service to patients, colleagues and the Boston Combined Residency Program community.

I grew up in a family of competitive water skiers and still compete today! I also love snow skiing, running, playing soccer and being outside. I’m an avid supporter of Ohio State Athletics and the Cincinnati Bengals.
