About

Biography

I am an immunologist and researcher interested in immune signaling, virology, ribonucleic acid (RNA) biology and RNA protein interactions. I have been a researcher for over 15 years and started my lab at Cincinnati Children’s in 2025.

The Gokhale lab explores the intricate relationship between RNA, viruses and the immune system during viral infections. Our research aims to uncover how RNA molecules influence and are influenced by viral pathogens and how RNA plays a role in the body's innate immune response. Our lab seeks to provide insights into how viruses manipulate host cells and how the immune system can counteract these infections.

BS: Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, 2013.

PostDoc: University of Washington, Seattle, WA, 2025.
