Lauren Homan, MSN, APRN-CNP

I am a family nurse practitioner (FNP) specializing in pediatric neurosurgery and am deeply committed to providing compassionate care for children and guiding families through complex neurosurgical conditions. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of neurosurgical disorders, supporting patients and their families throughout every stage of care. I practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings, which allows me to support patients and families throughout their entire medical journey—from initial evaluation and hospitalization to recovery and long-term follow up.

Prior to specializing in pediatric neurosurgery, I gained early experience as a co-op student in an adult neuroscience intensive care unit. I later practiced at Cincinnati Children’s as a registered nurse on the neuroscience/trauma unit, where I discovered my interest in neurosurgery. I went on to begin my nurse practitioner career in adult neurosurgery, ultimately returning here to pursue my passion for pediatric neurosurgical care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, tackling home renovation projects and gardening.
