About

Biography

My clinical specialty is pediatric emergency medicine. I enjoy the fast pace of the emergency room and the variety of patients and interactions that I encounter. I’ve always enjoyed working with children because they are a fun population, and their resiliency has always inspired me.

My areas of research are medical education and simulation. I always enjoyed my simulation experience as a trainee. I recognize that it is a valuable method of medical training, especially in the pediatric population where the opportunities for hands-on training are often less available than when working with adult populations. I am working to identify ways to improve procedural training in pediatrics through simulation.

I’m certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (2015).

MD: Duke University, Durham, NC, 2012.

Residency: Pediatrics, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH.
