I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in developmental coordination disorder, torticollis and early childhood development. Children with coordination deficits may not present with a formal diagnosis, so I help families find a diagnosis for their coordination deficits, understand their child's unique needs, and advocate for their child's care.
I knew I wanted to be a pediatric physical therapist from the time I was eight years old after my brother was born with medical challenges. Since starting my career, I have found my passion for working with children with coordination difficulties and teaching them how to promote physical activity while building confidence in their movements. I also love working with the birth to three-year-old population, developing their gross motor skills and postural symmetry.
I utilize a cognitive approach to developing motor skills for children with coordination difficulties to ensure their ability to problem-solve and create motor plans. My goal is to help patients learn how to problem-solve for themselves and not rely solely on a therapist to teach them new skills.
