I am a child neurologist specializing in headache medicine for children and adolescents, and I’m passionate about helping young people reclaim their quality of life. I believe that listening and actively incorporating each patient’s goals and concerns into every aspect of care is crucial. Many families worry about being placed on a “medical conveyor-belt,” where treatments or medications might feel like they subtract from daily life. I often share with my patients that our treatment plan must be working for their benefit; it should never be the other way around. I strongly feel that medical trust in decision making is not gifted, but most be earned with every patient I encounter.
My inspiration to practice medicine comes from seeing how much a person’s quality of life is shaped by their health. Witnessing the improvement in my patients’ lives as we decrease their headache burden motivates me every day. My approach emphasizes individualized care, because I know that every child’s needs are unique, especially when it comes to headache management. I’m committed to finding effective, minimally invasive treatments that provide relief without unnecessary side effects.
Outside of work, I enjoy pickleball, exploring new restaurants, catching a good movie and taking long walks with coffee and podcasts. Most of all, I love spending time with my family and friends.
