I am an audiologist who specializes in behavioral hearing tests, auditory brainstem response (ABR) tests and hearing devices. Every family has a different story, unique values and varied goals. My job is to support each patient and their family through their hearing and communication journey. I strive to create a space where conversation and working together as a team is welcomed and encouraged.
My journey into audiology began with an American Sign Language (ASL) class during my undergraduate program, which eventually led me to Gallaudet University for my audiology doctoral degree. I am passionate about empowering deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children. I also ensure access to language through hearing devices and visual communication such as ASL or cued speech.
Many parents of DHH children have never met another child with hearing difficulty. Throughout the process, many questions and curiosities are expected. We will walk through the child's communication journey together. I am always available to answer questions, provide support and share needed resources.
In my free time, I enjoy being active outdoors, particularly running (including local and obstacle course races), hiking, stand-up paddleboarding and camping. I also love exploring new areas with my partner and our two dogs; bonus points if a local coffee shop is nearby.
