About

Biography

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, working in the outpatient setting and treating patients through the entire continuum of general development. I have additional training in skeletal fragility, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), rheumatic conditions, joint hypermobility and other connective tissue disorders.

I have an open mind, a positive attitude and a genuine curiosity in all interactions. As a clinician, I strive to work alongside families to achieve their goals as a team. I have a strong passion for what I do. I aim to bring consistency, diligence and warmth into our sessions together.

In college, I was employed as a home health aide and worked with a young child with multiple disabilities. I participated in her therapy visits and implemented therapy exercises/activities into her daily routine. I was amazed at how physical therapy helped her achieve small personal goals that one day led to her walking with a device. This accomplishment made such a difference in the lives of her family and witnessing it was so incredible that I knew I wanted to do this as a career.

While in my doctoral program at Emory University in Atlanta, I completed my formal pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. This experience provided the education, skills and resources that prepared me for my role as a member of the outpatient team and the Rheumatology Clinic.

I am honored to have received the Excellence Award from Emory University School of Medicine (2013) and to have been nominated for the Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy (OTPT) Excellence Award three times by my colleagues here at Cincinnati Children’s.

When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, hiking and traveling with my husband.

BS: Allied Health Professions, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, 2010.
