Jennifer Miller, MSN, APRN, NNP-BC

I am a nurse practitioner specializing in neonatology. It amazes me that I get to care for these babies—their parents’ most precious and fragile gifts. My honor and duty is to provide the best care to these patients. Families never plan to have their infant in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This can be one of the most challenging times in their lives. I aim to meet families with love, patience and understanding to help guide them through this journey.

My interest in this work stems from coming out of school as a new nurse. My favorite instructor, JoAnn Sullivan Mann, encouraged me to apply for a job in the NICU (a place I had barely heard of at the time). She told me I would fall in love with these patients, and I did. After being a nurse in the NICU for almost 10 years, I was ready to advance my role of caring for these special babies in a new way as a neonatal nurse practitioner. I have spent my entire nursing career (over 23 years and counting) caring for babies in the NICU, and I plan to continue here as this is where my heart lies.

In my free time, I love hanging out with my kids. I also enjoy traveling, reading and attending church activities. Fun fact: I am a Leap Year baby, born February 29.
