Macala Maney, MD

As a general pediatric cardiologist, I care for patients from infancy through early adulthood. I believe that every patient is someone's whole world, and when it comes to cardiology, no concern is too small. My goal is to build strong relationships with patients and their families, working together to ensure everyone feels heard, empowered and knowledgeable about their child’s care. I find that the best outcomes happen when we partner closely, and I am committed to making sure families are supported every step of the way.

My passion for working with children has always been at the heart of my career. I am constantly inspired by their resiliency and love of life, no matter what challenges they face. It is a privilege to be part of their journey and help them through life’s adventures. I first fell in love with pediatric cardiology after shadowing an interventional cardiologist and witnessing how one procedure or surgery could give a child a second chance at life.

In addition to patient care, I am dedicated to improving the outpatient experience through patient education and quality improvement, especially when it comes to patient safety during transitions in care and admissions. I am always looking for better ways to support families and ensure the highest standards of care.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, family, and our slightly spoiled furbaby. I enjoy going to musicals, watching movies, playing golf, skiing, exercising, and baking. I am always excited to travel and explore new places.
