As a staff psychologist, I provide a mixture of therapy and psychological evaluation services. For therapy, I generally use a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach. I am also a member of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program within the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology (BMCP). I know that participating in assessments and therapy can be really challenging, and I aim to support patients and their families the best I can through that demanding work.
My approach to therapy is to help patients develop skills that we can use to navigate the demands of life effectively, which can also help to alleviate symptoms. Working with children and adolescents includes working with parents, caregivers and family. I want to ensure that we all work together to build practical skills, to help model the use of these skills, help build caregiver confidence with coaching on skills used between sessions, and help navigate challenging situations.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending Xavier basketball games, cooking and enjoying the many activities that Cincinnati has to offer.
