I specialize in the assessment and treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and co-occurring mental health conditions, with a particular interest in children and adolescents experiencing symptoms of cognitive disengagement syndromes (CDS). Through our CDS Program, I offer evaluation and treatment services designed to support young people and their families as they navigate the unique challenges that come with these conditions.
My philosophy of care is research-informed and collaborative. I bring knowledge of strategies shown to support children and teens with ADHD, while families contribute their expert understanding of their child’s temperament, history, and daily life. Together, we create a plan that is practical, compassionate, and tailored to each child’s needs. I strive to offer guidance that feels supportive rather than prescriptive, and I work to ensure that caregivers feel included, respected, and empowered throughout the process.
I recognize that being a child or teen with ADHD can be incredibly hard—the world often expects focus, organization, and emotional regulation at levels that may feel out of reach. Parenting a young person with ADHD comes with its own set of challenges, from navigating school expectations to managing daily routines and big emotions. My goal is to be a steady partner for families, offering clarity and tools while honoring the strengths they already have. Across all services, I aim to create a space where children and teens feel understood, and where families feel confident in the steps we take together.
My research focuses on understanding impairment associated with CDS, with a particular interest in academic and social functioning.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband. I am also an avid Survivor fan.
