I specialize in pediatric emergency medicine and completed my fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s. Knowing that coming to the emergency department can be very stressful for children and their families, my goal is to create a safe, reassuring environment where families feel heard, supported and involved in every step of their child's care. I approach each patient as if they were my own child—with attentiveness, empathy and evidence-based medicine—and I strive to communicate clearly, honestly and kindly, no matter how high-pressure the situation. Every child deserves not only excellent medical care but also dignity and comfort during vulnerable times.
My path to medicine began with a love for science and a healthy curiosity about the world around me. As the first person in my family to go to college, I didn’t have much exposure to medicine growing up, but I was always fascinated by what was happening when ambulances came through my neighborhood. In college, I majored in biology and gained hospital experience that confirmed my decision to pursue medicine. Working with kids has always been a natural fit for me—their innocence, enthusiasm, resilience and bravery inspire me every day.
I’m honored to have received the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Leonard Tow Humanism Award in 2021, which recognizes faculty members who are mentors and examples of humanism in patient care. In 2023, I was also grateful to receive the Cincinnati Children’s Outstanding Alumni Award, a meaningful recognition from the institution where I trained.
Outside of work, I’m a sports fanatic—especially when it comes to professional football. Growing up in Pittsburgh, PA, I’ve always cheered on six-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers!
