I am a pediatrician at Cincinnati Children’s with a particular interest in preventive medicine, newborn care and caring for patients with mental health concerns. I enjoy helping parents understand what they can do at home to prevent illness, injury and accidents.
Open and honest communication is important to me. I want parents and caregivers to feel comfortable asking questions. When I meet a family for the first time, I take time to get to know them, understand their concerns and learn what brought them to where they are today.
I chose pediatrics because I love working with children and families. I grew up in Northern Kentucky and returned to the Cincinnati area to be closer to home. I completed my undergraduate education and medical school at the University of Louisville, followed by my pediatric residency at Geisinger Medical Center.
At Cincinnati Children’s, I value being part of a larger health system and having connections with pediatric specialists. That support allows me to help connect patients with additional services when needed.
I enjoy caring for children and families because of the relationships I can build with them and the opportunity to help shape the future.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, cooking, needlepoint and watching Survivor. One of my bucket-list goals is to visit every national park.
